JacobRolf Jacob Sartorius, a boy who was born in Oklahoma was raised in Tulsa. He was relocated to Virginia for adoption after his parents became unable to care for him. Adoptive parents took him to live in Reston, Virginia. He began singing in musicals at the age of seven. Vine is an American web-based short-form video hosting service, ended its service in the year 2017. Sartorius posted lip-syncing videos on Vine that had more eight millions followers by August 2016. As a victim of bullying, he believed the internet was his way of opportunity to get away. The man said prior to Musical.ly that he didn't feel very confident. He thought that no one would be watching except the camera.
